Additional Information

List of 3 items.

  • Recommendation Letters

All applicants must submit at least one letter of recommendation; however, two or more letters are strongly encouraged, preferably from math and English teachers and/or the Principal at your son's current school. Recommendation forms are sent to all Catholic middle schools in the area prior to the schoolyear and are also available online for non- Catholic middle school parents. Once your son has completed the HSPT, Central Catholic will make contact with the middle schools for any official transcripts and letters of recommendation.
  • Follow up with your current Middle School for transcript requests if necessary

Central Catholic will request 6-8th grade records, standardized test scores, and letters of recommendation from elementary schools for each student that completes the HSPT. In many cases, parents will need to follow up with their school’s records office in order for CCHS to receive their son’s records by early January. We will call during the week of January 11, if an application is incomplete or missing pertinent information.
  • Our Responsibility

The Central Catholic High School Admissions Committee will evaluate each application with the utmost respect and fairness, as is consistent with our Marianist tradition of service and justice. We will make a decision based on HSPT scores, middle school grades, recommendation letters, and the interview (if required).
Central Catholic High School is a college preparatory school educating young men, from diverse backgrounds, in the Marianist tradition for success through the development of scholarship, leadership and moral character.
