Central Catholic Celebrates Christ's Resurrection

Most of the senior class was away on retreat, but that did not dampen the enthusiasm of the CCHS community as they gathered with retired auxiliary bishop Thomas Flanagan, DD, on April 10. The bishop had recently remarked to officers of the Knights of Columbus that he enjoyed his last visit and presentation in 2003. When they asked if he would like to repeat that visit, he enthusiastically replied. After a brief discussion with Deacon Cunningham and Ms. Garcia of Campus Ministry, arrangements were made for him to celebrate our annual Easter season Mass.
Two choirs sang and a special procession of light began the offertory. At the end of the ceremony, the bishop presented special certificates to 28 Central Catholic students and staff who worked to build three Habitat for Humanity homes over the past year.
