Central Catholic High School is a State of Texas private non-profit corporation. The Members of the Corporation, which consists of the Marianist Province’s provincial and his assistants, are responsible for the school’s mission, the election of the members of the board of directors, and the approval of major physical properties financial transactions.
Central Catholic High School has a board of directors which is a policy making board. The board operates on a committee structure with the following standing committees: Executive, Membership, Academic, Student Activities, Spiritual Life and Heritage, Finance and Business and Relations and Development.
The Chief Executive's Council of the school consists of the president, principal, minister of spiritual life, the business manager and the director of relations and development. The school council is composed of the principal, the assistant principals, minister of spiritual life, director of admissions and athletic director. The academic council includes the assistant principal for academics and the department chairs. The activities’ leaders include the assistant principal for student activities, the athletic director, band director and the senior army instructor of the JROTC.
Under the direction of the Relations and Development Office, alumni volunteers form an alumni board consisting of five officers with 16 members and parent volunteers form a Parents’ Club with a general body and three booster clubs: band, athletics and JROTC.
Although Central Catholic is not owned or operated by the Archdiocese of San Antonio, the guidelines for education set forth by the Archdiocese are followed. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Texas Catholic Conference of Education accredit Central Catholic.
Central Catholic has a sponsorship agreement with the Marianist Province of the USA and is a member of the Marianist Education Consortium, which includes the middle and high schools and universities in the Marianist tradition throughout the United States. Central Catholic holds memberships in the National Catholic Educational Association and the Independent Schools Association of San Antonio.
In athletics, Central Catholic is a member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools. In music, Central Catholic participates in the Texas Private Schools Music Educators Association
