About Us: Heritage

Heritage of Central Catholic

Our Statement of Heritage

By Pat Cunningham

December 03, 2007

Central Catholic High School is a private Roman Catholic Marianist College preparatory educational community of faith serving persons from economically and culturally diverse backgrounds.

The Marianist intentions for education are:

+ to educate for formation in faith

+ to provide our students an integral, quality education

+ to educate students, faculty, parents and alumni in family spirit

+ to educate our stakeholders toward a life of service, justice, and peace

+ to educate all our students for a life of adaptation and change

We accomplish these intentions through formal communal and interpersonal dialogues within the school’s larger community.  Our philosophy is presented to personnel candidates and discussed during the hiring process.  We make regular presentations to faculty and staff during in-service times.  We share it with parents during orientation sessions.  Students are instructed in our mission and these characteristics of Marianist education.  These statements also appear regularly in our publications, and, of course, on this website.
