Certificates of Accomplishment
Acknowledging Exceptional Work in Academic Fields
March 29, 2008
Available to all honors students, but rarely earned, the Certificates of Accomplishment are awarded to students who have, in a sense, specialized in and excelled in one or more department studies. In general, students so honored have attained an "A" average in the discipline, an overall A-B average in all academic subjects with no very low grades anywhere, and have taken more courses in that subject than are required for graduation.
In the past, fewer than 2% of graduates have attained this distinction.
