Marianist Heritage Award

Our Highest Honor

In the two decades that Central Catholic has given the Marianist Heritage Award, some of our finest, most service-minded graduates and staff members have earned it. Those who attain this honor have done the most to inculcate and pass on the Characteristics of Marianist Education:

Formation in Faith Embodying the life of Jesus Christ in our day and time, and encouraging that Faith-Life in all.
Integral, Quality Education Striving for a true growth-orientation and liberal arts education, with a view toward integrating a true love of learning into all areas of the curriculum
Education for Service, Justice, Peace Working for peace in our part of the world and all the world by promoting an understanding and application of social justice, and making this happen by serving and encouraging others to grow in Christian service
Education for Adaptation and Change Always being aware of societal changes and changes in the needs of students, and adapting instruction to meet those needs and promote the spread of the Gospel
Marianist Family Spirit Looking to the needs of others and acting to ameliorate the condition of members of the Marianist family over the world; promoting the CCHS brotherhood as a missionary arm of the Church

Faculty-staff awards are given at the annual Founder's Day-Chaminade Mass on or near January 22, and the student award is presented at Commencement.
