Student Retreats

RETREAT PROGRAM
The Central Catholic High School Retreat Program is an integral part of our five-fold Marianist characteristics, particularly Faith Formation and family spirit.
Freshmen Retreat
The retreat program at Central Catholic begins with the Freshmen Retreat, a one day retreat experience in which all freshmen are introduced to the brotherhood and community of Central Catholic High School. All freshmen attend the retreat together and share in activities that encourage spiritual growth and inner reflection.
Sophomore Retreat
The Sophomore Retreat is also a one-day experience that delves deeper into the idea of brotherhood and focuses on the Marianist and Central Catholic community along with specific issues that the students will be faced with as teenagers. It helps them learn how to make Christian choices when faced with important life issues. All sophomores attend this retreat together as well.
Junior Retreat (Journey Retreat)
The Junior Retreat is a three-day, two-night experience. The purpose of the Journey Retreat is to take the retreat attendees through the journey of faith that all believers go through. Each attendee will be at a different place in his faith development, but this program is designed to speak to each student no matter the stage he may be in. Additionally, this retreat will serve as a transition for students who will attend KAIROS as seniors.
Senior Retreat (KAIROS Retreat)
The retreat program culminates in the KAIROS Senior Retreat. The KAIROS Retreat allows the students to reflect on the relationships they have with themselves, their parents, each other and God. It is a four-day, three-night experience involving witness talks, small group sessions, liturgies, a reconciliation service, an affirmation activity and mediation/quiet times, while also allowing for free time and seven hours of sleep a night (for the students, anyway). "KAIROS is the culmination of the students' spirituality experiences at Central Catholic, and thus is a very powerful event."
