The Chaminade Guard is Central Catholic's oldest precision marching squad. It was formed in 1938 and is named after Blessed William Joseph Chaminade, founder of the Society of Mary. The Guard, known for generations as "The Machine," has competed across the United States and is often nationally ranked for its discipline and marching routines.
Most recently, in February 2008, The Guard placed first at the Birdville competition. The photos below show the unit preparing for an unusual indoor competition, and performing the routines that brought them a first-place trophy.
