School Tours

School tours are a great way for a potential student with their family to get to know Central Catholic. School tours typically last about 60 minutes and are led by the Director of Enrollment, Bethany Herman.

For more information on touring, please contact the Enrollment Office at (210) 576-4359 or

Shadow Days

We welcome students to join us for a Shadow Day to see what a day in the life of a Button is all about! Our Shadow Day Program allows students in 8th-grade to shadow a current freshman. Students who wish to transfer to Central Catholic from a different high school will shadow a current student in their grade level.

We invite shadow day students with their parents to enjoy a light breakfast, student panel, and a school tour prior to shadow students participating in classroom shadow time.

2019 Spring Shadow Dates

To best plan for your son's shadow day, please schedule him for a shadow day at least five days in advance of the desired shadow date to ensure the date you are seeking is available. Dates bolded and crossed out indicate Shadow Day Program is at capacity for that particular date.

January: 29, 31
February, 14, 19, 21
March, 5, 7, 21, 26

Central Catholic Shadow Day Details

A student will participate in a shadow day from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Email communication will be sent to registered families to confirm shadow day and review details.

On the day of the visit, please arrive between 8:30 am - 8:45 am for check-in held in our main foyer.  We invite shadow students' parents to enjoy a light breakfast and participate in the morning shadow day programming until 10 am.

Park anywhere on Central Catholic's campus! Enter the school through the main entrance (facing St. Mary's St.) or through the Quad double doors (facing the Bob Benson '66 Stadium). We recommend parents to accompany their students into the school for check-in and to enjoy morning shadow day programming.

Shadow students will receive lunch "on us" during their shadow day!

What to Wear and Bring:
Shadow students are to follow the Central Catholic Dress Code: a collared shirt (any color or pattern) tucked into slacks (any color) with a belt, socks and dress type shoes (loafers, oxfords, dress boots, Sperry's, etc.). Bring a backpack to carry a notebook and writing utensils! We do have vending machines on campus - if a shadow student would like a snack from the vending machines, please have him bring money with him.

End of Day Pick Up:
Shadow students will be ready for pick up at 3:30 pm. You can park anywhere on campus and come into the school to meet your son at the Enrollment Office (by the main entrance) or you can have your student come out to your vehicle in the parking lot - whatever is most convenient for you.
