What if my son does not have a computer or tablet at home to continue online instruction?
Central Catholic will have Google Chromebooks available for those students that need one. Please fill out the online form at this link https://bit.ly/3b21d2S to request a device. You will be contacted with the next steps after you submit the form.

Are there any tips to share with my son to prepare him for online learning?
There are many strategies to be successful at online coursework. Here is a suggested site for tips that might be useful.

What adjustments is the school making to clean frequently touched/accessed areas of campus?
Central Catholic is closely monitoring and following the guidance from the CDC, Occupational Health & Safety Administration and other authoritative bodies. Our facilities team has upgraded the disinfectant used on campus. CCHS now uses special disinfectants with a thirty-second kill time for all touchpoints in Academic & Athletic facilities. Below are the primary touchpoints that staff has been instructed to focus on:

  • Showers
  • Doors
  • Countertop surfaces
  • Restroom fixtures
  • Restrooms walls
  • Restroom partitions 
  • Light switches
  • Athletic mats
  • Classroom desk and instructional podiums
  • Trash can lids
  • Interior handrails
  • Elevator buttons
  • Door frames
  • Telephones
  • Dispensers
  • Soap tissue and towel dispensers
 
Click the link to view the resource list that each teacher has compiled for their online instruction. If your son has all the materials he needs for assignments in his possession, then there is no need to travel for Book Distribution. If your son is missing certain resources that are listed because they are still in his locker, please make sure to follow the assigned Book DIstribution Schedule posted above. 
 
What if I am not receiving Aeries Communication Messages via phone, SMS, or email?
Please go into your Aeries Web Portal settings and verify your that phone number, email, and other contact information are correct and that you have opted-in to receive all communications. If you are still having trouble, please send an email to aeries@cchs-satx.org. 
 
Is the Business Office still accepting payments for Tuition and Other Fees?
Yes. Most payments for tuition are available online via their son's student account on FACTS.
If you pay your tuition and fees in person, please contact Olga Concha in the Business Office to schedule an appointment. Her email is oconcha@cchs-satx.org or via phone at 210.225.6794 ext. 212.
 
What if my family is impacted financially as a result of the Coronavirus situation and closures?
The Business Office is always available to work with families experiencing financial troubles. Please contact Mike Gaffney at mgaffney@cchs-satx.org. You can also view alternative tuition assistance opportunities via this link. You can also apply for the St. Joseph's Fund via this LINK.
 
My son still has service hours to complete, how does he turn those in or complete if opportunities are limited now?
As the situation with COVID-19 changes, Central Catholic will evaluate the service hour requirements and adjust if needed. For specific questions, please contact Campus Ministry at evillalpando@cchs-satx.org
