National Spanish Honor Society
The purpose of the society is to recognize the high achievement of high school students in the Spanish language and to promote a continuing interest in language and cultural studies.
Eligible students are any high school student who has maintained an honor average in the study of Spanish for a minimum of three semesters and is in the 10th grade or higher. Freshmen cannot be inducted without special permission from the SHH Director (Sra. Méndez)
Requirements:
- Be currently enrolled in a Spanish III or IV class/ French II class with a cumulative average of 90 or better.
- 90% or better academic attendance.
- Good standing in conduct and academics according to the Central Catholic High School Handbook for student expectations.
A member may be removed from the Chapter at the discretion of the Chapter Sponsor for failure to maintain an honor average, misconduct, insubordination, or other serious infractions.
