Meet Our New Principal, Mr. Stephen Walswick

We would like to introduce you to a new school leader, who will work enthusiastically to enrich and expand the great academic tradition of our school.
Beginning July 1, 2018, Mr. Stephen Walswick will be the new principal of Central Catholic High School. Mr. Walswick has been a transformational leader in his roles as a teacher and assistant principal. He brings more than 12 years of experience in all-boys Catholic education— most recently serving as Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Educational Technology at Servite High School in Anaheim, California. Under his guidance, Central Catholic will continue its rich Catholic Marianist tradition of excellence, both in and outside of the classroom.
Mr. Walswick and his wife Lacey have been married for eight years and are the proud parents of four young children. He and his family are active members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Placentia, California. Mr. Walswick has served on the Baptismal Team, Stewardship Council, is a Parish Lector, a Minister of Holy Communion, and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Catholic School Administration from Loyola Marymount University, a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching: Secondary Education from Chapman University, and two Bachelor’s Degrees in English Literature and Philosophy (Honors) from Loyola Marymount University. In addition to the LMU School of Education Outstanding Graduate for Catholic School Administration program, Mr. Walswick was named the 2018 Loyola Marymount University School of Education  Graduate Student of the Year.
The Walswicks arrived to San Antonio on Friday, June 22 and were greeted by Central Catholic community members who helped them unload the moving truck and get their new home set up. A few members from the Wild Game Dinner committee even brought over some BBQ for them! Together, as a faith-filled Marianist community, we will continue to provide the young men of San Antonio the best opportunity for reaching their full potential.
Please help us welcome The Walswick family to Central Catholic!
Central Catholic High School is a college preparatory school educating young men, from diverse backgrounds, in the Marianist tradition for success through the development of scholarship, leadership and moral character.
