Applying to Central Catholic

Central Catholic is currently accepting 9th-grade applications for the 2019-2020 school year! All students applying for 9th-grade enrollment to Central Catholic must complete an online application. The online application deadline is Saturday, January 5, 2019. This deadline is for the online application only.

In addition to the online application, an applicant must also have support documentation submitted to complete his application file. An applicant's application file will be deemed fully complete and ready for admissions review once all support documentation from his middle school has been received by Central Catholic's Enrollment Office. Mrs. Bethany Herman, Director of Enrollment, will contact an applicant's middle school for the support documentation throughout December and January.

Additional Information

List of 3 items.

  • Recommendation Letters

All applicants must submit at least two letters of recommendation: one recommendation from their current Math teacher and one recommendation from their current English teacher. Recommendation forms were sent to all area Catholic middle schools in October. If your son completes the HSPT at Central Catholic and/or submits an application to Central Catholic, Central Catholic will make contact with his middle school for official school records, transcripts and letters of recommendation. Recommendation forms do not need to be submitted when the online admissions application is submitted. Central Catholic asks for recommendations to be submitted to Mrs. Bethany Herman, Director of Enrollment.
  • Follow up with your current Middle School for transcript requests if necessary

Central Catholic will request 6th-8th grade records, standardized test scores, and letters of recommendation from middle schools for each student that completes the HSPT. Central Catholic encourages parents to follow up with their middle school for records, as records are needed to complete an application. Central Catholic will be in touch with both parents and middle schools if an application is incomplete or missing pertinent information.
  • Our Responsibility

The Central Catholic High School Admissions Committee will evaluate each application with the utmost respect and fairness, as is consistent with our Marianist tradition of service and justice. We will make a decision based on HSPT scores, middle school grades, recommendation letters, and the interview (if required).
