  • All School Liturgies

At Central Catholic High School we have several different experiences in liturgy. The school has an all-school liturgy each month in the gym for the entire student body; parents are welcomed to attend. These 9:00 a.m. Masses* revolve around holy days of obligation, Marian feasts and school celebrations. Students and faculty serve as the ministers at the school liturgies, with a cantor, choir and a liturgical ensemble. Marianist priests from Central Catholic and St. Mary's University lead the celebration in keeping with the General Instruction on the Roman Mass.

*All school liturgies begin at 9:00am unless otherwise noted.
  • Daily Mass

In addition to our monthly liturgies, we also have daily Mass in our school chapel at 7:45 a.m. These are optional and open to anyone who would like to attend. A short homily is usually offered by one of our clergy.
  • Liturgical Choir

The Liturgical Choir is a volunteer choir for musicians who wish to participate in school liturgies. Members can be instrumentalists or vocalists and are required to meet once a week after school. This choir sings at all school masses and religious services throughout the school year. There is no Fine Arts credit offered for participating in this ensemble.
  • Communion Service During Lunch

There is also daily communion service M-F for each lunch period.
  • Reconciliation

Reconciliation is offered everyday afterschool from 3:30-4:00 with our Chaplin Fr. Don Cowie, SM. During each semester the student’s will have the opportunity to participate in a short prayer service and examination of conscience, and then are invited to celebrate reconciliation with a priest or pray individually in the chapel.
  • Prayer

Prayer begins and ends our school day. At the start of the first period a prayer for the day is offered over the intercom for the entire school community. Each day concludes with the Prayer and the Marianist doxology.
  • Marianist Doxology

May the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
    be glorified in all places
    through the Immaculate Virgin Mary.
