Gifts to Central Catholic High School ensure Central Catholic's commitment to the Marianist Characteristics of Education formed by Blessed Fr. William Joseph Chaminade. Every gift, no matter the size, is significant to the students at Central Catholic. A number of giving opportunities are available for alumni, parents and friends to help Central Catholic meet the changing needs of a new generation of students.

The Advancement Office is available to work with you on your philanthropic goals and can be reached at 210-225-6794 x246.

  • The Central Catholic Fund

Gifts to the Central Catholic Fund touch the lives of students from their first day as freshmen to their day of graduation. Tuition only covers 82% of the actual cost of a Central Catholic education. Each year hundreds of loyal Central Catholic alumni, parents, and friends contribute to the fund and help meet the School’s ongoing need for flexible, unrestricted income to support our academic mission. As unrestricted gifts, these contributions are used by Central Catholic on a daily basis where the needs and opportunities are greatest. Click HERE to contribute!
  • Honors

These gifts are made in honor of an individual and/or in recognition of special occasions such as a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation or other special occasion. Any gift to Central Catholic may be made in honor of another. The honoree receives notification of the gift.
  • Memorials

A memorial gift serves as a remembrance of a loved one, a true friend, respected teacher, or valued colleague while helping ensure the mission of Central Catholic continues for future generations. Any gift to Central Catholic may be made in memory of another. The family of the deceased receives notification of the gift.

Please call the Advancement Office at (210) 225-6794.
  • Matching

Many companies will match charitable gifts made by their employees with a 1:1 or sometimes a 2:1 match. Check with your Human Resources department, you may be surprised to learn that your company also provides this benefit. Some employers even continue to match gifts from retirees. These matching corporate funds allow Central Catholic to provide tuition assistance to even more young men. Please contact the Development Office at (210) 225-6794 ext. 206 for more information on how to apply for a matching gift.
  • Create a Named Fund

Named Funds may be created at Central Catholic to support a scholarship, tuition assistance grant or any infrastructure needs of the school.  Funds may be named for any individual, as chosen by the donor.  Named funds can be created for $25,000.   The fund may be created with a single gift or over a five year period with many gifts.  Once a named fund is created, the donor works with the Development Office to create the Named Fund Agreement through which the school will administer the funds.

Please contact the Advancement Office at (210) 225-6794 to begin the process for creating a named fund at Central Catholic High School.
  • Planned Gifts

The estate plans you make now ensure that Central Catholic’s mission and traditions are transferred from one generation to another. Planned giving allows your loyalty and generosity to continue beyond your lifetime. A planned gift includes but is not limited to bequests, charitable annuities and remainder trusts, life insurance policies, and securities.

All donors made known to Central Catholic become members of the Nova Bella Pillars Club. This group of donors is named for the motto “Nova Bella” which has been taken from Blessed Fr. Joseph Chaminade’s work following his return from exile to France as a result of the French Revolution. The original motto, “Nova bella eligit Dominus” translates to “The Lord has chosen new wars” and is a scriptural reference to the need for adaptation and change in the modern world. Deferred gifts help ensure that Central Catholic High School will have adequate funds well into the future to respond to changing times and needs.

Please contact the Advancement Department at 210.225.6794 ext. 246 for more information on how to notify the school of your estate intentions.
