Campus Safety & Security

Central Catholic High School’s commitment to providing a safe and secure environment is evident throughout our campus and integrated in our student, parent, and employee policies:
  • All visitors are required to check-in with front office receptionist as soon as they arrive on campus and be escorted while on campus by an employee
  • Most exterior doors are locked from the outside during normal school hours to prohibit unauthorized access
  • Enhance school perimeter with consistent fencing that incorporates keypad pedestrian gates and keypad access vehicle entry gates
  • Security cameras are installed in designated common areas
  • Copy of Emergency Action Plan placed in every classroom and administration office
  • New employees undergo a thorough criminal background check performed by the Archdiocese of San Antonio policy (Link)
  • Criminal Background Checks are conducted every three (3) years on existing CCHS employees 
  • All CCHS employees undergo Adult Safe Environment training every three (3) years in compliance with Archdiocese of San Antonio policy
  • Regular Professional Development for faculty and staff with safety training components (Active Shooter, First Aid, Emergency Action Plan reviews)
  • Continuous and open dialogue with parents and students on drug, tobacco, and alcohol use
  • Conduct Risk Assessment Evaluations every 5 years to pinpoint improvement areas
