Central Catholic High School is dedicated to developing young men of character through faith, leadership, and academics. The first boys' school in San Antonio and still one of the largest all-male private secondary schools in the state of Texas, Central Catholic High School remains a prestigious landmark in San Antonio and a symbol throughout South Texas of teaching excellence.
Since 1852, Central Catholic's tradition of academic excellence has been rooted in the Marianist philosophy of a well-rounded education. A truly enriching high school experience encompasses many elements of learning that may take place outside a typical classroom setting.
A typical day at CCHS allows students to explore both academic and extracurricular areas of interest from the chemistry lab, to the ceramics studio, on the basketball court, or on the JROTC practice field- all of which build character and leadership skills.
Central Catholic’s athletics program encourages students to practice Marianist values by demonstrating sportsmanship while striving to attain competitive excellence. With a variety of sports offered, athletics provides growth promoting experiences, prepares students for success as they develop competencies through collaboration with others to achieve personal, and group goals.
