Message from the Principal - May 2023

"Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; 31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:30-31

Can you believe we are just a few weeks away from the end of the school year? This year has taught us many valuable lessons. We have had a lot to celebrate and a lot has been learned. We collaborated and traveled the path together. As stated in the scripture above, we are all a bit exhausted, but it is important to leave it all to our Lord. He will be there to lift us up. It is His strength that will carry us through these last few weeks and beyond.

We had fun last week celebrating our teachers and our school nurse! We cannot thank them enough, and we are so blessed by them! They are at the core of the success of the young men of Central Catholic.

Congratulations to each and every one of you for successfully navigating through the waters of this school year. It was exciting to see so many underclassmen celebrate their academic accomplishments at the awards ceremony, and we look forward to celebrating our seniors later this week. I want to especially congratulate this year’s graduating class on all their hard work and success. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. I look forward to seeing you all at our baccalaureate and graduation ceremonies. May the Lord continue to bless our seniors and their families as they continue on their journey.

Although the year is coming to an end, the mission does not. Whether you are graduating this year or returning next year, we always have the responsibility to carry the Central Catholic name with respect, dignity, and with a Loyal Heart. Let’s finish the year strong!

May our Lord continue to bless each of us, and may He continue to bless our Central High.

Grace and Peace,
Dr. Lee Hernández Principal
