End Of The Year Science Department Happenings

Coach Curran‘s Anatomy classes spent time with their end-of-the-year dissections of perch, frogs, and rats. This is always a highlight of the school year for these Anatomy students.

Recently, Mr. Bendele‘s biology honors classes spent time examining dissection specimens, learning about how animal anatomy and physiology correlate with human anatomy and physiology.  They also learned how to take someone’s pulse and auscultate someone’s heart and lungs.

Dr. Ballesteros’ Chemistry Honors classes spent time making ice cream in the classroom. No freezer was needed! They learned about heat flow and thermodynamics, while enjoying a tasty treat.

Even as the school year winds down, our science teachers continue to impart profound lessons by emphasizing critical thinking and the real-world applications of scientific concepts. Their dedication to fostering curiosity and inquiry ensures that students leave the classroom with a deeper understanding of the world, regardless of the time of year.
