Game On: Snake Bytes Shine at Techport — Smash & Rocket League Stars Headed to Playoffs

On Saturday, February 14th, 2026, the Snake Bytes continued their yearlong competition in the R20 League at the Techport Arena.  Accompanied by Dr. Ballesteros, parents, and friends, The Snake Bytes competed against other eSports teams from local high schools such as Warren, Jefferson, South San, and Holmes.

The Super Smash Bros Ultimate Team consisted of co-captains Raphael Avila ‘28 and Aidan Salazar ‘27, along with Dylan Stone Ramirez ‘27, Zack Vrooman ‘28, Anthony Muller ‘27, Anthony Paiva ‘28, and Adrian Rodriguez ‘28.  Both Raphael and Zack made it out of pools, and will be competing in the Top 32 during the Playoffs in Mid-April.

The Rocket League Blue Team, led by Ethan Winfrey ‘26, consisted of Jose Hernandez ‘27, and Kaidin Traver ‘26.  Led by Emerson Pope ‘29, the Rocket League White Team consisted of Asher Leonheart ‘29, Lane Broerman ‘29, and Noah Torres ‘29. They look to continue their winning ways as the Playoffs approach in about 2 months.

Let’s continue to cheer on our teams as they prepare to compete over the next few weeks, as well as the team continues into its fifth year next upcoming school year.  If your son is interested in competing next year, please have them contact Sra Fabiola Mendez ([email protected]) or Dr. Brandon Ballesteros ‘04 ([email protected]).
