Guardian Angels & Community Service

The Guardian Angels finished the school year with a flurry of service projects. They recently got to work with horses at the Saddle Light Center. These horses are used for therapy for children with special needs. They also partnered with the Stay Strong Foundation and Morgan’s Wonderland to volunteer at the KC Fest (in honor of Kenneth Cruz '19). Along the way, they set up booths for the St. Gregory’s Festival, helped Junior Thomas Murray work toward his Eagle Scout project at McAllister Park, and spent a day cleaning Zarzamora Creek on the city’s west side. In addition, they held their fourth blood drive of the year.

For the year, our Guardian Angels completed 42 service projects or drives, totaling approximately 2,050 hours of community service!

Seniors Joaquin Tanjuatco and Nico Contreras led this year’s team of Guardian Angels with dedication and empathy. They are leaving behind an amazing legacy for future Buttons to follow. I know that years from now, Joaquin and Nico will still be servant leaders in their own communities. May God continue to bless them and watch over them!
