Liturgies

Central Catholic High School offers multiple options to experience liturgy. The school has an all-school Mass each month; parents and alumni are welcome to attend—this 9:15 a.m. Masses revolve around holy days of obligation, Marian feasts, and school celebrations. Students and faculty serve as ministers at the school liturgies, with a cantor, choir, and liturgical ensemble. Marianist priests from Central Catholic and St. Mary's University lead the celebration in keeping with the General Instruction on the Roman Mass.

Daily Mass

In addition to our monthly Mass, we have daily Mass (M-F) in the Historic Brother's chapel (Room 230) at 7:45 a.m. The optional daily Mass is open to anyone who would like to attend.

Liturgical Choir

The Liturgical Choir is a volunteer choir for musicians who wish to participate in school liturgies. Members can be instrumentalists or vocalists and must meet once a week after school. This choir sings at all school Masses and religious services throughout the school year.

Communion Service During Lunch

A daily communion service is held in the Historic Brother's Chapel M-F before each lunch period.

Reconciliation

Reconciliation is offered every day before school or by appointment with our Chaplain: Fr. Patrick McDaid, S.M. Additionally, the Religion Department coordinates a Reconciliation Service during Advent and Lent.

Prayer

Prayer begins and ends our school day. At the start of the first period, a prayer for the day is offered over the intercom for the entire school community. Each day concludes with the Prayer and the Marianist doxology.

Marianist Doxology

May the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
be glorified in all places
through the Immaculate Virgin Mary.
